Production Process
9-Step Production Process
We follow a strict 9-step production process to ensure every custom sweater meets your quality standards:
From Design to Delivery: Our Production Workflow
From design review and yarn selection to sample development, bulk production, quality inspection, and final shipment, Tesin manages every step carefully to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery for every custom knitwear order.
1. Design / Tech Pack Review
Clients can send us reference images, design sketches, tech packs, measurement charts, or detailed production requirements. Our team will review the style, yarn composition, gauge, size specifications, color requirements, knitting techniques, trims, labels, and packing details before sample development.
At this stage, we help confirm whether the design is suitable for production and provide practical suggestions when needed, such as yarn selection, stitch structure, sizing adjustment, or technique improvement.
2. Yarn & Material Selection
Based on the client’s target price, season, hand feel, design requirements, and market positioning, we help select suitable yarns, materials, colors, compositions, and gauge options.
We can provide yarn color cards, material options, and professional suggestions for different knitwear styles, including cotton, wool, acrylic, viscose, cashmere blends, merino wool, and other custom yarn combinations.
3. Sample Development
After confirming the design and materials, our sample team will arrange sample development according to the approved requirements. We check the shape, measurements, workmanship, colors, hand feel, pattern placement, and design details carefully. If adjustments are needed, we will revise the sample based on the client’s comments until the style, fit, and details meet the required standard before moving into bulk production.
4. Bulk Production
Once the sample is approved, we arrange bulk production according to the confirmed order details. Our production team follows the approved sample, size specification, yarn, color, gauge, workmanship standards, and packing requirements.
During this stage, we coordinate yarn preparation, knitting, linking, washing, ironing, finishing, and production follow-up to ensure stable quality and consistent workmanship across the full order.
5. In-line Inspection
During bulk production, our QC team carries out in-line inspections to check measurements, colors, workmanship, knitting quality, labels, trims, and production details.
This helps us identify and correct potential problems early during the production process, reducing risks before the goods are fully completed.
6. Final Inspection
Before shipment, we conduct final inspection on finished garments according to the approved sample and order requirements. We check measurements, appearance, workmanship, color consistency, labels, hangtags, packing details, carton marks, and overall order quality.
Only products that meet the required standard will move to final packing and shipment arrangement.
7. Packing & Shipment
After final inspection, the products are folded, packed, labeled, and arranged for shipment according to the client’s requirements. We support different packing methods, including individual polybags, custom labels, hangtags, carton packing, and other brand-specific packing needs.
Our team works closely with clients and forwarders to arrange smooth delivery and provide necessary shipment information when required.
